Religious Fundamentalism and Death Penalty Decision-making

This study examined the extent to which religious fundamentalist beliefs related to death penalty sentencing decisions through the evaluation of aggravating and mitigating evidence. Findings suggest that fundamentalist beliefs are related harsher sentences because of a reluctance to endorse mitigating evidence.
